Welcome to the Multi-functionl Plant Peptides Database

MFPPDB is a manually curated and freely accessible database of therapeutic peptides of plant origin. It comprises 1,482,409 therapeutic peptides with single or multiple functional characteristics, derived from 30 monocot plants and 91 dicot plants. The functional categories include 41 different features such as anti-bacterial, anti-fungal, anti-HIV and anti-viral, and anti-cancer. Each functional peptide has detailed physical and chemical information. Additionally, MFPPDB provides two search modules easily accessible through a web-friendly interface. Users can retrieve peptide information based on plant peptide species, ID, and function (Function Search), or locate functional peptides based on relevant physical and chemical information (Phsicochemical Properties Search).
